Nine films to compete for the Rainbow Spike

11/10/2017.- The contest, in collaboration with the Triangle Foundation, organizer of the Valladolid LGBTI Film Show, Cinhomo, will again award the Rainbow Spike to one of the nine selected titles from the different sections programmed at the Festival.

Specifically, they chose five feature films. Montparnasse Bienvenue (Official Section), by Léonor Sérraille; ¿Cómo nossos pais? (Official Section), by Laís Bodanzky; Hoy partido a las 3 [Game Today at 3] (Meeting Point), by Clarisa Navas; A Skin so Soft (Time of History), by Denis Côte, and Las postales de Roberto [Roberto’s Postcards] (Doc. Spain), by Dailo Barco, are the selected films.

On the other hand, five short films have been selected for viewing, of which four will aim to win the prize. Because of this, A Drowing Man (Official Section), de Mahdi Fleifel; Dear Renzo (Meeting Point), by Francisco Lezama y Agostina Gálvez; I Like Girls (Meeting Point), de Diane Obomsawin; El alquiler [The Contract] (The Night of Spanish Short Films), by Pablo Gómez Castro; and Chen Li [Sunken Plum], -a work that is out of competition- by Roberto Fernández Canuto and Xiaoxi Xu will arrive in Valladolid.

The award, newly created last year, will recognize the film that emphasizes the mission of increasing visibility of both sexual diversity and gender identity with sufficient artistic and social relevance. The jury will be composed of José Ramón Rubín, Ainhoa Zabaleta, Gonzalo Soriano, Antonio Hernández and Hugo García.
