‘Blue Sky from Pain,’ a portrait of immigration

10/27/2017.- Greek filmmaker Stephanos Mangriotis and Cypriot director Hyacinthe Pavlides presented their short film Blue Sky from Pain in the History Time section of the 62nd Seminci. It is a film that tries to portray the reality of the world and immerse the viewer in a deteriorated universe of imprisonment, through images of immigrant internment centers in order to reflect the situation in which many immigrants live in European countries, specifically in Greece.

One of the creators of the short film, Mangriotis, dedicates his life to using photography, cinema and multimedia resources to tell stories about immigration or marginalization. On the other hand, Pavlides currently works as an independent film director.
