‘Tesla: lumière mondiale’, science and art hand in hand

10/27/2017.- Science and art go hand in hand in one of the short films that enters the competition in the Official Section of the 62nd Seminci, Tesla: lumière mondiale (The Tesla World Light), by Canadian director Matthew Rankin. The author, well-known artist and entertainer in his country, has come to Valladolid to present his short film, inspired by a true story and a real person: Nikola Tesla, the inventor of the alternating current.

“In a technological environment like the present one it is difficult to imagine how inventors of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century lived”, stated the director. His short film is marked by the experimentation that characterizes Rankin’s work. “If you try to do something different, you have the opportunity to do something new,” said the director.
