09/20/2017.- The 62nd edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival will be screening eleven feature-length films in its «Meeting Point» section (Punto de Encuentro), the competitive parallel showcase for first and second fiction films worthy of special attention for their subject matter or style.
This year the selection of films comes from very different countries —Tunisia, Lithuania, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Israel or Canada— and often highlights the issues of childhood and adolescence hit by circumstances stemming from the family and social environment, as well as others like immigration or unemployment.
Films entering this section qualify for the award to the Best Feature, with a cash endowment of 15,000 Euros for the director of the winning film.
