10.05.2017.- The 62nd Valladolid International Film Week will screen 14 films – six full-length films and eight short films – linked to the Community in the sections ‘Castilla y León en Largo’ (Castilla y León in Feature Length) and ‘Castilla y León en Corto’ (Castilla y León in Short Film), a result of the collaboration of the Seminci with the Council of Culture of the Junta de Castilla y León (Castilla y León Regional Government), and the sponsorship of Renault and the independent newspaper El Norte de Castilla.
‘Castilla y León en Largo’ will premiere three feature films –Análisis de sangre azul, by Blanca Torres and Gabriel Velázquez; Europa [Europe], by Miguel Ángel Pérez Blanco, y The Maus, by Yayo Herrero- and three other documentaries: Al otro lado del muro, by Pau Ortiz; Cortos infinitos, by Ana Cea, and Gigantes descalzos, by Álvaro Priante e Iván Roiz.
‘Castilla y León en Corto’ will screen eight short fiction films, including Cassiopea, by Rebeca G. Bahillo; Dentro del sistema, by Francisco Javier Rubio; e-Life, byMario DC Carbajosa and Vibha D.M.; El fracaso [Failure], by Daniel Remón; Fugaz, by Herminio Cardiel; La última misión del Comando Cobra [The Last Mission of the Cobra Command], by Luis Sánchez-Polack; Vida y muerte de Jennifer Rockwell [The Life and Death of Jennifer Rockwell], by Javier Roldán, and Ya no te quiero [I Don’t Love You Anymore], by Francisco Hervada Martín. This section is competitive, with its own jury of three audiovisual professionals.
These sections will be joined for the fifth consecutive year by the session dedicated to presenting the short films selected by the Quercus project -five in total-, an initiative of the Coordinator of Castilla y Leon Cinema Festivals (FECCYL), with the sponsorship of the Council of Culture and Tourism of the Castilla y Leon Regional Government, whose objective is to provide a national and international projection of short films from the region.
