‘Thi Mai, rumbo a Vietnam’

21/10/2018 – The director Patricia Ferreira visited Valladolid on Sunday 21st October to present her latest feature film, Thi Mai, rumbo a Vietnam, which is participating in the Spanish Cinema section. Starring Carmen Machi, Adriana Ozores, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Dani Rovira and Antonio Gil, the film tells the story of Carmen who, after losing her daughter in an accident, receives a letter from the adoption agency, telling her that they have assigned her a little Vietnamese girl, Thi Mai. Along with her two best friends, who have never left Spain, she decides to travel to Vietnam to complete the adoption process.

After starting her feature film career with Sé quien eres (1999), Patricia Ferrerira’s subsequent fiction films include: El alquimista impaciente (2002), El secreto mejor guardado (2003), an episode in the collective feature film put together by Unicef, En el mundo a cada ratoPara que no me olvides (2005), Señora de (2010) –which won third prize in Time of History at the 54th edition of Seminci-, El amanecer de Misrak (2010), The Wild Ones (2012) and  Thi Mai, rumbo a Vietnam (2017).
