10/21/2018.- The 63rd edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival hosted this Sunday 21 Oct. RTVE’s special gala where Spain’s main public broadcaster offered a preview of the film Sin fin, directed by the Esteban Alenda brothers —César and José— and featuring María León and Javier Rey in the leading roles. All of them, together with José Antonio Hergueta, one of the film’s producers, appeared before the audience at Teatro Zorrilla in order to present this fiction feature, whose theatrical release will take place on 31 Oct.
In the film, Javier travels in time in order to re-write his last day with María, the love of his life. With her he reminisces about (and re-enacts) they day when they first met years ago in an attempt to turn María again into the cheerful and smiling girl he once fell in love with.
In 2005 César and José Esteban Alenda founded the production company Solita Films, where they have written and directed eight short films including El orden de las cosas (2010), Matar a un niño (2011) and Inertial Love (2012), which harvested over 200 international awards from across the world.
The winners of a Goya award (and the recipients of two additional nominations), they bagged Málaga’s Silver Biznaga on two occasions. Sin fin, their feature debut as directors, won the award for best actor (Javier Rey) in the latest edition of the Málaga Film Festival.
