10/10/2018.- Til Schweiger’s Head Full of Honey (Germany) will be the closing night film in the 63rd edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival. Nick Nolte plays an ageing man recently widowed after a 50-year marriage who is battling Alzheimer’s disease. His son’s part is played by Matt Dillon: a US-born father and husband who is living in Britain and going through a marital crisis with his wife, played by Emily Mortimer.
Born in 1963 in Freiburg (Germany), Til Schweiger is considered Germany’s biggest film star as well as a multifaceted talent whose jobs extend into film production, writing and direction. His performances include roles in some of the most successful German and international movies of the last few years: Inglourious Basterds (Quentin Tarantino, 2009), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (Jan de Bont, 2003) or Men in the City (Simon Verhoeven, 2009). As a director, co-writer, producer and lead actor, his filmography features titles like Barefoot (2005), the two instalments of Rabbit Without Ears (2007 y 2013) and Kokowääh (2011), all of them big box office hits in Germany.
